Pregnancy Massage

Lying on your tummy when pregnant is definitely not a luxury but having the pleasure of a massage still can be.

Massage can be enormously beneficial to helping to soothe jangled nerves and alleviate common complaints such as backache, tension in the shoulders and aching legs and feet. I do a lot of work around the hip area to relieve tightness in gluteals which in turn relieve pain in the lower back and to relieve any SPD (Symphisis pubis disorder) pains.

Massaging of the tummy of course is optional but has been reported to calm active and kicking babies. It increases the blood flow to the fetus giving them additional oxygen which is always a good!
After childbirth, new mothers need to be nurtured themselves and massage is a perfect way to relax the mind and body, renew energy, encourage deep sleep, and help the body regains its shape.

Price £50 per hour.
(Based on a home visit within SW19, SW18, SW20 areas – anything outside of this will incur a £10 travel fee).

"Gina has magic fingers!!
A good friend recommended Gina to me in my second trimester, I only wish I had found out about her earlier! I was suffering from terrible and constant morning sickness, I lost a lot of weight and felt truly awful.... Gina is qualified to perform reflexology during pregnancy and it really helped me, I noticed a difference in my nausea and vomiting from the first treatment session, eventually with her help the nausea and vomiting stopped altogether!

As the morning sickness settled and my third trimester started, my pelvis began to open up quite early and my hips locked-up completely. It became very difficult to sleep and walk and sit down. Yet again Gina came to my rescue with her pregnancy massages! With a lot of hard work from Gina the muscles around my hips relaxed and settled into their new positions... My hips relaxed enough for me to sleep and walk and resume normal activities! As an added bonus the massages were wonderfully relaxing and calming for both me and the baby!"

"I first met Gina in early 2006 when she ran a baby massage course for my NCT group.  The course was fantastic, not only for enhancing the bond between the Mums and their babies, but also for strengthening the friendships between the Mums.

More recently, at 33 weeks' pregnant with my third child, I have called on Gina's services once more - this time as a pregnancy masseuse and reflexologist. A persistent sinus infection, the overriding symptom of which was a constant cough, caused me to develop a painful back, and trying to cope with two active young children (aged 3yrs 8 mths and 2yrs 1 mth) at the same time was proving to be both physically difficult and mentally demoralising.

In seven weeks, Gina has literally transformed me, to the point where now at 40 weeks' pregnant, and awaiting the imminent arrival of my baby, I am in good shape and fully prepared for the labor and subsequent demands of being a new Mum.

I cannot recommend her highly enough.
